Action Point provides numerous projects and services that have been developed in response to the needs of our community.

Volunteer Support & Brokerage

Providing support at a local level for individual volunteers and volunteer involving organisations.

Helping Hands

Enabling older people to live safely and independently in their own homes. Designed to tackle a variety of minor repairs and adaptations dealing with home safety and security, mobility issues and general maintenance.

CareLink

Carelink provides companionship and practical support to people who are experiencing loneliness, isolation or other difficulties.

Supported Volunteering

A support service for adults with a learning disability who want to volunteer in their local community. Our tailored support package enables people to partake in volunteering opportunities of their choice.

Silver Links

Silverlinks social day groups provide an opportuntity for people over the age of 60 who find it difficult to go out alone, to get out of the house and socialise with others.

Leisure Link
Mondays & Fridays

A fun and friendly social group for adults with a learning disability. We run every Friday and support people to take part in a wide range of activities.

Boogie Nights

A fortnightly Friday night disco for adults with a learning disability. A fun and friendly environment where people can meet friends, grab a bite to eat and boogie the night away!

2nd Time Around

Our very own charity shops which provide volunteer placements for adults with a learning disability, enabling them to develop skills for employment and everyday life. The shops generate income to help us deliver projects to support our local community.

Our 121 service provides tailored support for adults with learning disabilities to enable individuals to maximise their independence and lead fulfilling lives.

Sensory Space

This is our new sensory room funded by the Morrisons Foundation.

Take Part

A friendly arts and crafts group for adults with a learning disability. We meet every Thursday morning and try our hand at all sorts of arts and craft activities. A warm welcome is guaranteed!

Food for Health

‘Food for Health’ is a project delivered by Action Point, this project teaches healthy eating and cooking skills to adults with learning disabilities.

As a registered Umbrella body with the Disclosure and barring service we provided a comprehensive, confidential counter-signatory service to agencies whose staff and volunteers have regular contact with children and/or vulnerable adults.
